1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek, compact, and striking machine, designed by Milan-based company Deep Design combines the brand's retro style with cutting edge technology. The machine can handle all the steps of the coffee-making procedure starting from grinding beans, the tamping of a puck and texturing milk before dispensed the right volume.
The machine is also available in black, red and taupe. It is a great be incorporated into any kitchen style. The machine does not come without faults, however. The majority of reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a cup to bean maker (and it doesn't come with a pitcher of milk).
There were also many glowing reviews about the machine's ease of use and the quality of the coffee. The digital display is intuitive and provides the step-by-step instructions and feedback throughout the entire brewing process, helping you improve your coffee every time. It will even prompt you to adjust the grind size if it's not enough. It's almost like having your own personal home barista (minus Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).
This model is perfect for those who like milky drinks. The steam wand is adjustable to the right and left to fit a variety of drinking vessels, with the exception of Viking drinking horns. We were awestruck by the speed and efficiency of the frothing procedure, too. It also produces a delicious espresso, with a great crema and full flavor despite its compact size.
The BCC02 is a great all-rounder, quiet and efficient and provides excellent value for money at the current price of PS499. The only issue is that it doesn't provide the same level of customization like other bean-to-cup machines we have tried. It's got a 15-bar pump rather than the more common 19 bar that aren't as efficient for producing quality espressos. But other than that, this is a fantastic bean-to-cup machine for those who prefer their coffee strong and dark. There is also a chute for pre-ground beans if you prefer to make your own.
Users have also said they are amazed by the speed of the machine. They have said that it is able to make their drinks much faster than other machines they've used. Another benefit is that the machine will warn you when one of its hoppers is nearly empty, so that you aren't caught running out of your favorite drink.
The only thing that may be a disadvantage for certain people is the price tag. This machine is not cheap, costing nearly PS999. It is still cheaper than comparable Jura machines that have the same number features.
Barista TS smart is covered by a two-year guarantee. This is a greater warranty than the standard one-year guarantee. It is a sign of confidence from the manufacturer.
